About the break
A right-hander built for long, easy rides.
Whisky Point is one of Arugambay's most loved breaks, a short walk north of the main strip and right outside the Footmark gate. It's a right-hand point break that peels off a rocky outcrop, sending rides of 100–200 meters down the line on a good day.
The wave here is mellow compared to the heavier breaks further south — slow, fat, and forgiving, which makes it a favourite for beginners and intermediates working on turns and trim. Experienced surfers still drop in for the long walls and the laid-back crowd.
Surfers don't need to paddle out far; the wave breaks close to shore, so you can be in the lineup minutes after waxing your board.
